One of the top players at UEFA EURO 2024 thus far this summer has now consented to join Tottenham.
The club has made an offer of €17.5 million (£15 million) for his services, and although the player has not yet accepted the offer, he has given his approval to move to N17.

Sebastian Szymanski agrees to join Tottenham
A rumor from Aslinda in Turkey currently suggests that Fenerbahce No.53 Sebastian Szymanski has said yes to a move to Tottenham.
The Turkish news outlet think Fenerbahce – currently led by Jose Mourinho – received a £15m bid from Spurs for the Poland international, and while the Super Lig team want more cash from Spurs, the player himself is willing to join Ange Postecoglou’s side.
Aslinda continues, “If an agreement is reached whenever Poland’s involvement at UEFA EURO 2024 ends, Tottenham will soon return to the negotiating table to submit an improved offer for Szymanski, and he will fly to England for a medical.”
Spurs’ interest in the 25-year-old after his outstanding 2023–24 season is not surprising.
Szymanski, who has drawn comparisons to Giovani Lo Celso, the 18th player for Tottenham, is striking; in 55 games for Fenerbahce last season, he scored 13 goals and created 19 assists.
Spurs may have found cheaper alternative to Eberechi Eze
It’s interesting to note that Szymanski plays as a central attacking midfielder, very similar to Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze, who Tottenham are rumored to be huge admirers of.
A recent story from TEAMtalk claimed that Postecoglou has approved a £68 million bid for the England international, and a meeting is scheduled for shortly.
It seems unlikely that Spurs will sign both Szymanski and Eze, so it will be interesting to see if the north Londoners now give up on the Polish maestro after he agreed to join.
