Even though the Blues value the young midfield player greatly, Cesare Casadei of Chelsea may leave this summer.
It will be another busy summer at Stamford Bridge as the team has already signed Tosin Adarabioyo from Fulham, and an official announcement regarding Omari Kellyman, who is expected to join for £19 million from Aston Villa, is anticipated this week.
The Blues are also looking to let go of a number of players, but the process has been slower than expected, with Ian Maatsen’s impending £37.5 million move to Villa being the only notable departure.
Casadei may depart this summer.
Casadei is another talented young player who is trying to force his way into the first team setup, but Simon Johnson reports in The Athletic that his departure is a possibility and they won’t stand in his way if he wants to leave.
“With Chelsea boasting strong midfield options, Cesare Casadei’s departure is a possibility. Chelsea rate the 21-year-old highly but will understand if he requests to move on.”
Chelsea also have a number of talented young players to decide which to take on. These players include Omari Hutchinson, Andrey Santos, and Angelo Gabriel.
“He will still cost a fee more than what Chelsea paid because of his positive loan experiences at Reading and Leicester City.
There is interest, but no bid has been received by Chelsea. Casadei signed a £12.6 million initial contract with £4.2 million in add-ons to join Chelsea from Inter Milan in the summer of 2022.
