Vanderson, who rose through the ranks at Grêmio before leaving Brazil to join the French club in the winter of 2022, has established himself in their first team and has been a reliable performer for them; despite suffering from injuries during the 2023–24 season, the 23-year-old still contributed four goals in 23 appearances.
Although Vanderson’s contract with Monaco expires in the summer of 2028, a number of elite clubs are willing to compete for his signature. Napoli is one of the teams connected to the Brazilian international, but they may withdraw from the race if Tottenham is prepared to put in a strong effort to sign him.
The North London club is hoping to bolster their defense on the right side and believes Vanderson would fit in well under Ange Postecoglou’s system. With Emerson Royal likely to be moving, the 23-year-old could be the perfect replacement.
The Brazilian full-back’s reported asking price of €30 million seems reasonable for a player of his caliber and potential, and the Brazilian could easily pay for the investment in the near future. It will be interesting to see if Spurs are willing to meet Monaco’s demands after all.
