A recent report claims that Tottenham Hotspur dispatched scouts to monitor a teenage “wonderkid” at Euro 2024.
The North Londoners made their way back to Europe after a year away by finishing fifth in the Premier League last season.
Ange Postecoglou, though, won’t be content until his squad returns to the top division—the prestigious Champions League.
That will be the goal going into the upcoming campaign, and in order to do that, he will need to make a number of window signings, especially up front.
A young striker has recently been connected.
Tottenham Hotspur is one of several Premier League teams that dispatched scouts to watch Semih Kilicsoy, according to Turkish publication Sabah.
The 18-year-old “wonderkid,” who draws inspiration from Manchester City great Sergio Aguero, had a successful season in the Super Lig the previous year, scoring 12 goals and providing three assists for Besiktas.
Arsenal and Manchester City, two Premier League rivals, are also said to be interested in the Turkey striker, who is expected to be closely watched by clubs throughout Europe at Euro 2024.
Kilicsoy’s contract expires in 2028, thus Besiktas has a good chance of keeping him on board.
