According to sources who spoke to Football Insider, Celtic is making progress in their summertime chase of Adam Idah, a striker.
On Monday, June 10, Football Insider disclosed that the 23-year-old’s move to the Hoops might be postponed as new Norwich manager Johannes Hoff Thorup is eager to assess him throughout preseason.
After a good loan stint with Celtic in the second half of the 2023–24 season, Idah has become a top target.
According to sources, Brendan Rodgers is eager to complete deals as soon as possible during the summer transfer window and they won’t “wait forever” for the Republic of Ireland international’s future to be decided.
Idah became a crucial member of Rodgers’ team in their successful pursuit of a league and cup double, and he is eager to continue his journey with the Hoops.
He made 19 Celtic appearances during his time at Parkhead, starting in seven of those games.
The forward notched nine goals and two assists in that time, including the game-winning goal against Rangers in the Scottish Cup final.
A well-placed source has now informed Football Insider that Idah is “very keen” to make a permanent move to Scotland, which is a major boost for Celtic.
Idah has a contract with Norwich that expires in June 2028. He recently stated he doesn’t know where his future is.
