Zlatan Ibrahimovic has discussed the value of AC Milan’s supporters, stating that if they are not satisfied, then neither can the management.
Six months after rejoining AC Milan as a Senior Advisor, Ibrahimovic gave his first news conference, and it was jam-packed with audacious claims, intriguing hints, and of course, a few jokes.
We dissected the salient remarks in a feature yesterday night. Zlatan discussed a number of topics, including the significance of fan loyalty to the team’s performance and club operations. Despite promising to make amends, he seems to imply that he is aware of the dissatisfaction following a 2023–24 season without a trophy.
As he put it, “I remember when we won the Scudetto, the year before was behind closed doors. We played and rose, we went up the table, but we didn’t win.
So the fans are really important to this team. They give the team extra strength as they’ve always done, in the good times and the bad. That’s one of our strengths: we have fans who get behind the team and help them.
We need that. If they’re dissatisfied, we’re dissatisfied. It’s that simple.” Asked for a parting message to the supporters, he said, “While I’m here, the future is bright. I will do everything to win.”

At yesterday’s press conference at Milanello, Ibrahimovic was the one who announced on stage that Paulo Fonseca will take over as head coach and gave a brief explanation of the decision’s justification.
