Jimmy Butler of the Miami Heat is a player that the Cleveland Cavaliers could be interested in trading for, according to NBA insider Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer.
This offseason, Butler is eligible for an extension. If the Heat don’t offer him a max extension, he might be traded.
According to Anthony Pasciolla of Inside The Heat, Pompey stated, “This is just me talking; I didn’t ask anybody questions or anything like that.” “But the Cleveland Cavaliers are the one team I would pay attention to if Miami were willing to deal Jimmy; I’m not sure if they are. Since Rich Paul stated that they most likely want to get rid of Damian Garland if they give Evan Mitchell an extension. That’s what the reports are indicating, but in my opinion, Cleveland still has the final word in the matter. However, I’m not sure if Jimmy would be interested in going there. Next season, Butler will earn $48.8 million.
