After an incredible season with Girona, Artem Dovbyk has found himself on the radar of AC Milan and a number of other major clubs. The striker acknowledged that there is interest in Italy in a recent interview, and his agents are handling the situation.
Milan needs to acquire a striker after losing out on Olivier Giroud, and a number of names have recently been connected to the team. The interest in Dovbyk was originally reported by the media last month, and it has since been verified.
According to Francesco Nasato, the 26-year-old striker acknowledged that a few Italian teams are considering signing him when he spoke with the Spanish publication AS. Given that he assisted ten goals and scored 25 this past season, it’s not shocking.
“If the Italian clubs my agents are speaking with? Indeed, they are discussing it. There has been news about me, but I’m handling everything coolly,” he said.
As things stand, Milan is entirely focused on Joshua Zirkzee, but they might choose to pursue a different player due to the agent’s hefty commission demands. Dovbyk is one of the alternatives to the Dutchman, although Milan has a few other strikers on their list and nothing is advanced at the moment.
