Though they haven’t made an official bid for the Dutchman, AC Milan and Bologna attacker Joshua Zirkzee have reached an agreement on a salary and contract.
According to Sport Mediaset (via Milan News), Zirkzee’s contract with Milan will not cause any issues because he will receive €4.5 million a season in salary plus bonuses that might bring it to €5 million.
The fact that the release clause is set at €40 million and goes into effect on July 1 means that there won’t be any issues during the negotiations with Bologna either. Since it expires on July 15th, Milan is anticipated to start it right soon.Bayern Munich has no desire to reclaim Zirkzee.
Right now, the agent’s requested commission is the sole issue. According to reports, Zirkzee’s agent is requesting €15 million in compensation for assisting with the relocation.
Milan is not interested in paying as much as the agent, Kia Joorbachian. Although paying huge fees to agents is a part of the contemporary game, there is a perception that Joorbachian is abusing Milan’s release clause to pay less than what is reasonable for Zirkzee.
If the release clause had not been set to expire, Milan would have had to spend far more than €40 million to get Zirkzee.
