Jakub Kiwior is valued by AC Milan, but the team has not yet made a bid for the defender from Arsenal since they are giving other positions priority.

Fabricio Romano is unsure, despite reports earlier this week from Foot Mercato suggesting that AC Milan had made Jakub Kiwior of Arsenal their top transfer target.

Although Kiwior has always been valued by Milan and was on their transfer wishlist in January, Romano notes in his Daily Briefing that the team now has alternative objectives, especially a right-back and a striker.

It’s thought that a center-back trade will happen later in the transfer season, and according to Romano, Milan hasn’t contacted Arsenal yet.

According to the report, Arsenal would only trade Kiwior for a hefty price if they decided to sell him. In 2023–24, Kiwior wasn’t usually a starter for Arsenal because there was a lot of competition at left back and preference for Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba at center defense.

The 24-year-old did have one especially successful stint in the squad in February and March, during which Arsenal won their Champions League match against FC Porto and went undefeated in the league.

Even yet, Kiwior’s 18 starts this season are perhaps fewer than what he may be receiving elsewhere.

Given that Kiwior has a contract that expires in 2028 and Milan has not yet made an offer, it seems doubtful that a transfer will occur before Euro 2024.

The athlete is included in Poland’s preliminary Euro 2024 roster.

He has participated in all but three minutes of his nation’s past 21 games, therefore it seems highly likely that he will start the competition.

Poland will play two friendly in the coming week: on Friday, June 7, they will play Ukraine, and on Monday, June 10, they will play Turkey.

Following that, on Sunday, June 16th, they play their first match of the Euros against the Netherlands.
