On Monday, the gifted offensive tackle agreed to a four-year rookie contract.

Troy Fautanu, the Packers’ first-round selection in 2024, has officially signed with the team, the organization announced on Monday.

In the 2024 NFL Draft, Pittsburgh selected offensive tackle Fautanu (20th overall) out of Washington. Fautanu has now agreed to a four-year deal with the Steelers.

The decision to accept Fautanu’s fifth-year option will be up to the Steelers, just like it is with all first round selections. The contract’s financial terms have not yet been made public.

Fautanu intends to challenge for Pittsburgh’s offensive line starting position right away. Dan Moore Jr., the team’s starting left tackle, and Broderick Jones, the team’s first-round selection from the previous year, are guaranteed jobs at tackle.

Fautanu will face Moore Jr. during training camp. With the exception of former West Virginia center Zach Frazier, who has not yet signed, the Steelers now have all but one member of the 2024 rookie class under contract.
