Finally JJ Redick closed in on the Lakers head coaching job
It’s clear JJ Redick win the position, the general view seems to be that he is still among the front-runners.
James Borrego, assistant with the Pelicans, is another deserving contender. Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN believes they will bring in additional candidates, but Shams Charania of the Athletic believes these are the final two.
Additional candidates to consider are assistants Chris Quinn of Miami, Micah Nori of Minnesota, Sean Sweeney of Dallas, and David Adelman of Denver.
Carmelo Anthony believes Redick has a chance, but he has a slightly…different perspective.
Although there are clearly no certainties, we would love to see Redick land this position—it’s a fantastic chance for one of the greatest teams in NBA history. Nevertheless, even if they decide not to hire Redick, the talk around him has increased since L.A. has been so serious. He will get the chance to coach if that is his true desire.
