Top Big Ten Head Coach Shares Opinion On Revenue Sharing In College Football
Sherrone Moore is following in Jim Harbaugh’s footsteps at Michigan. The former offensive coordinator will be tasked with leading the Wolverines back to the College Football Playoff.
Moore spoke in an interview on Wednesday about revenue sharing. This comes after the House vs. NCAA settlement was announced. The proposed $2.75 billion settlement will give former Division I student-athletes who competed before June 2021 compensation in back pay.
Former Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh supported revenue sharing over the past two seasons. Moore agreed with Harbaugh then and was glad the move finally happened.
“I feel great about it,” Moore said Wednesday. “I always agreed with [Harbaugh] when he initially brought it up. It should’ve happened a while ago. We’re super happy that it’s gonna happen. There’s obviously, a plan we have a process of going through. It’s got to go through courts and go through different things. We’re stoked for it.”

Moore is entering his first season as full-time head coach at Michigan. Before this offseason, he held multiple titles at Michigan, including offensive coordinator, tight ends coach, and offensive line coach.
Before coming to Ann Arbor, he spent time in similar roles with Central Michigan and Louisville. Michigan opens the year with Fresno State on Aug. 31. Kickoff will be at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
