Jimmy Butler extension i decide
The Philadelphia 76ers were keeping a close eye on Jimmy Butler’s Miami Heat contract predicament.
The Heat star sign $113 million, two-year contract deal.
Although Heat president Pat Riley had previously stated that the team would not trade its best player, some sources suggest Miami may search for trade options for Butler rather than giving him an extension.
However, if Butler is dealt and if Philadelphia loses out on Paul George in free agency, the Sixers may be interested, as reported by Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Butler can expect to receive the longest contract from the Sixers “if things align and he forces a trade out of Miami.”
In 55 games during the 2018–19 season, Butler averaged 18.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.0 assists for the Sixers.
