Williams is prepared to play for Big Blue Country.

Amari Williams, a future center for the Kentucky Wildcats, has formally withdrawn from the 2024 NBA Draft.

Williams, who subsequently recommitted to Kentucky after initially committing to the university in April, was also experimenting with the draft procedure in preparation for his last year of eligibility. Jon Rothstein was the first to report the news.

Williams, an English native originally from Nottingham, has spent the previous four years performing at Drexel. 10.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks are his career averages. Williams has earned three consecutive CAA Defensive Player of the Year titles and been selected to the All-Coastal Athletic Association Team three times since his sophomore year.

During his junior year of 2022–2023, Williams had his best campaign, averaging 13.7 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 2.2 blocks, and 27.3 minutes per game.

In 22.9 minutes per game during the previous season, the 6-foot-10, 265-pound forward averaged 12.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.8 blocks, with eight double-doubles. In his 26 career 3-point attempts, he has made eight of them, or 30.8%.

Early June is when Williams and the other incoming transfers from Kentucky are anticipated to be on campus.
