It appears that Paulo Fonseca will be the next head coach of AC Milan, and details on his contract have surfaced. It is anticipated that the coach would accept the terms.
Milan are set to step off the manager merry-go-round, at least temporarily, as it appears to have reached the end of its rotation. The season is coming to an end after being boring and full of speculation about the Rossoneri’s position about Stefano Pioli’s successor.
Following a thorough assessment procedure, the Diavolo are reportedly set on Paulo Fonseca, and they plan to officially announce him as the new coach soon. There are no assurances as to when this will happen, though.
According to Romano’s post on his X account, Fonseca is anticipated to sign a two-year contract with the Rossoneri, earning €2.5 million year in pay. Milan will also have the option to extend his contract by one more year, which would come with a pay raise.
This is a significant drop in pay for Pioli, who makes about €4 million a season; even if Milan decides to extend the Portuguese coach’s contract, it is unlikely that it will come close to what the 58-year-old currently makes.
