According to GiveMeSport, West Ham United hopes to add Victor Boniface, a great striker for Bayer Leverkusen, this summer to expand their alternatives for a striker in case Julen Lopetegui needs one.

The news agency stated on its website on May 22 that Tim Steidten “really likes” the 23-year-old Nigerian, who has scored 21 goals in 33 games for the Bundesliga winners this year.

Leverkusen wants to keep him in their team and would only consider selling him if a proposal of more than £47 million was made; it’s uncertain, though, if the Hammers would make that kind of offer.

Although Michail Antonio served the London Stadium and Upton Park admirably in the past, it is undeniable that he is past his prime.

The 34-year-old Jamaican international is drawing interest from Saudi Arabia and the Major League Soccer (MLS). Additionally, with Danny Ings and Divin Mubama expected to depart the team this summer, the need for a new forward is increased.

In order to prevent Antonio from leading the line for the team in the upcoming season, a first-choice option should be the first priority. Signing Boniface would be an incredible move for the team.

Given that Boniface’s skill set would be ideal for the Premier League and that Lucas Paqueta is expected to depart the team, Steidten may decide to pursue a move for Boniface in order to cash in on the extra money.

Lopetegui would undoubtedly love to bring him in and make an impression in his first window as coach since he is swift, powerful, agile, excellent in the air, and a terrific finisher with both feet.
