Is it wise for the Cardinals to spend a lot of money on the inexperienced superstar slugger?

Despite being among the strongest baseball teams thus far this season, New York may lose its finest player. At the end of the season, superstar slugger Juan Soto will be a free agency and is sure to sign a big contract.
Although the Yankees have stated that they would prefer to keep Soto for the foreseeable future, anything might happen when he hits free agency.
This season, Soto has lived up to the hype as the clear favorite to earn the American League Most Valuable Player title. At the young age of 25, he has already slashed eight home runs and drove in twenty-eight.36 games played, 316/.421/.559.
Teams will be lining up to try to sign him, and he might sign a deal worth more than $500 million. Would Soto be a good fit for the St. Louis Cardinals as a landing spot?
Soto would make a lot of sense purely based on talent. Even at such a young age, he is among baseball’s top players. St. Louis’ offense hasn’t been as expected so far this season and Soto easily could boost
Last season, St. Louis’ outfield was stuck together, but this year, things haven’t been that way. The rising talent might be able to resolve this. Jordan Walker of St. Louis is now seen as the team’s right fielder of the future, although some have also predicted that he may eventually return to the infield.
Walker may return to the infield with the addition of Soto, who would also significantly boost the offense. But money will undoubtedly be the major problem. St. Louis has never awarded a $200 million contract, much less one as significant as the one that Soto will receive.
He is the kind of player a team should at least think about spending a lot of money on, but a move should be viewed as doubtful given the price tag. The entire season will be filled with conjecture. At some point, perhaps, the Cardinals will surprise us.
