    Just Now: Lakers have reached agreement with J.J. Redick as new Head Coach

    The Los Angeles Lakers’ NBA season ended earlier than anticipated in 2023–2024.

    The Lakers lost to the Denver Nuggets in five games in the opening round of the playoffs, after qualifying for the postseason thanks to a strong play-in-game effort.

    Many believe the team will make significant changes before the 2024–2025 season after witnessing the franchise’s collapse, particularly with LeBron James and Anthony Davis still available.

    A possible new coach is one of those adjustments.

    J.J. Redick is presently being considered as a potential Darvin Ham replacement, as Dave McMenamin mentioned on the Dan Patrick Show.

    When Ham first started working with the squad, he was a highly respected coach, but that doesn’t appear to be the case any longer.

    Fans of the Lakers are angry about the team’s poor performance in recent years, and Redick might be the sparkplug they need.

    Although James’ future with the organization is also uncertain, he might stay on and see what he can accomplish as head coach if a seasoned coach like Redick is hired.

    Being one of the NBA’s most illustrious teams, the Lakers have great expectations for themselves.

    It will be intriguing to watch how they do going forward, particularly if they have a new head coach and a redesigned roster when they begin the 2024–2025 season.

    The competition in the Western Conference was more tighter than in the East this year, and it was less of a landslide than in previous years.

    In light of this, if the Lakers make the required improvements, they should be well-positioned to compete next season.
