The Pittsburgh Steelers are primed for another memorable performance.
Pittsburgh The Pittsburgh Steelers are getting close to selecting a huge name in the NFL Draft of 2024. Bryant McFadden, a CBS Sports commentator and former cornerback, says the team is “very close to landing a significant playmaker.”
This might have several implications for the Steelers. Three well-known wide receivers—Courtland Sutton, Brandon Aiyuk, and Deebo Samuel—have been connected to the team. Even though they only added a sixth-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, they might also be considering options at cornerback.
Steelers general manager Omar Khan hinted at a potential wide receiver trade after the NFL Draft, saying the team restructured Alex Highsmith’s deal to free up almost $7 million in salary space.
Let’s see. As I’ve already stated, we’ll examine any possibility to strengthen the team and, if it makes sense, we’ll take it on,” Khan stated. “But yeah, we restructured Alex’s contract and it puts us in a position to be flexible with some things if there’s an opportunity to do something.”
We’ll have to wait and see what Pittsburgh has in store, but it seems like they’re prepared to make one more splash before reporting to OTAs and minicamp following an outstanding free agency period and an outstanding NFL Draft.
