My presence is not needed in Michigan wolverine any more ,Sherrone Moore open up in tears,I will……..
Michigan football didn’t end up breaking the NFL draft record for picks by one school, but the Wolverines set a record all the same.
With 13 players picked, Team 144 set another milestone in Michigan football history. The Wolverines fell three short of beating the 2022 Georgia Bulldogs, but U-M still had more players drafted than any other team, as well as the most in school history.
Cornelius Johnson was the second drafted this weekend by former Michigan football head coach Jim Harbaugh. Johnson will be on offense, while Junior Colson will be on Jesse Minter’s defense, probably as a starting inside linebacker.
Michigan football rookie free agent signings
Braiden McGregor not getting drafted surprised me. He hasn’t signed an undrafted free-agent deal yet but he will. Trente Jones has signed with the Packers. Drake Nugent has also signed according to The Wolverine but the team wasn’t reported. Josh Wallace has also agreed with the Rams.
Karsen Barnhart is another name. He’s going to get signed by an NFL and with the lack of quality O-line play in the NFL right now, it’s a surprise that more Michigan football offensive lineman didn’t get drafted.
Trente Jones could have a real shot in Green Bay. The Packers have a history of keeping undrafted free agents, especially on the offensive line. He’s a guy who could play tackle in the NFL. But Green Bay loves to get tackles who can also play guard. Jones could do that. He’s a mauler in the run game and the Packers could use a guy like that.
