John Wenham thinks that in the run-up to the North London derby, Tottenham and Arsenal are performing at opposite ends of the spectrum.
The proprietor of the respectable Spurs podcast, Lilywhite Rose, believes that the summer transfers of Declan Rice and Harry Kane perfectly encapsulate the aspirations of both teams.
On Sunday, April 28, Ange Postecoglou will greet Mikel Arteta and his team at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
And Wenham believes that Spurs might have trouble, according to an exclusive interview with Tottenham News.
“This title race is really just about points, and Tottenham needs to play well to try and stop Arsenal,” added Hammond.
However, keep in mind that Arsenal is playing brilliantly right now, and they have some excellent players.
Regretfully, in the previous summer’s transfer window, Spurs lost Harry Kane, their best player, to Arsenal, who acquired Declan Rice, maybe their finest player, for a reported £100 million.
Unfortunately, that depicts two clubs that might be at different ends of the spectrum.
Next season, Ange Postecoglou needs to focus on closing the gap between Arsenal and Tottenham.
Spurs have had to watch Arsenal advance over the last two years and contend in back-to-back title battles after six straight seasons in which they finished ahead of their noisy neighbors.
In the latter two months of the season, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium supporters will become weary of rooting for Manchester City and hope for a different outcome the next year.
Similar to what Arteta accomplished with Arsenal, Postecoglou needs to look to take Spurs to the next level, and a victory on Sunday would show that the team is prepared to achieve just that.
