Legendary Celtic player Scott Brown is currently attempting to make a name for himself in management after his brilliant playing career ended in 2022.
Brown, who is now learning the ropes in the Ayr United dugout, disclosed last week that former manager Brendan Rodgers has already made an effort to assist him at Somerset Park.
Regarding Josh Clarke, the goalkeeper for the Celtic B Team, who just moved on loan to Ayrshire, Brown said, “He helped us with Josh (Clarke) coming in.” For the past three or four games there, the goaltender has entered the game. He has performed above and beyond.
“We received an emergency loan in addition to an accident. Celtic was helpful to us. I’m fortunate enough to be able to call Celtic and request assistance with that now and again
Of course, the pair enjoyed a brilliant relationship working in conjunction at Parkhead that yielded seven trophies all in, including the famous Invincible Treble campaign of 2016/17.

“Brendan coming to the club was great because it was probably what I needed at the time,” he said [World Football Index].
“I had gotten a little confused under Ronnie, so I needed a little guidance. When Brendan took over, he was able to let me know right away that he understood my style of play and what he was looking for in a center midfield player.
“He explained everything to me, including the appropriate amount of distance to run, the level of intensity needed, and the number of touches one should aim for throughout a game.
It was at a good time for me, too, as at thirty I was beginning to grasp the game far better than when I was a younger player, and he provided me even more game awareness in my situation.
It was heartening that he had made the time to visit me before accepting the job, as many people at the time likely believed that I only had a few years remaining. But Brendan elevated that to a whole other level, and I felt fitter then than I probably ever have in my career.
Adam Idah, Liam Scales, and Matt O’Riley are three players this season that exemplify Rodgers’ special ability to extract an extra 10% from players.
Even if there have been some unusual situations over the past year owing to important players’ injuries, Celtic is still in a strong position with five league games remaining.
In the post-split phase, Rodgers should be able to use that energy as he attempts to build on the early success he enjoyed from 2016 to 2019 in the North.
