Feyenoord made a concerted effort to sign Bryan Gil away from Tottenham Hotspur, according to the Dutch media. 1908 claims that because they are determined to land the winger, the Eredivisie team has made “multiple offers” to acquire him.
Gil himself is thought to be interested in leaving Tottenham on a permanent move, especially if the interested teams puts a ‘ambitious project’ on the table.
Feyenoord’s initial offer, according to 1908, was made at the beginning of April and was for less than €10 million. In their most recent attempts, they have now started making larger down payments.
Even though there’s no deal with Tottenham yet, it’s claimed that the talks are now in a ‘serious stage’, and there’s a chance the transfer will go through, but not anytime soon.
The club know how complicated the negotiations will be and work with a deadline for the start of the 2024/2025 season. Right now, they believe the signing is ‘certainly not impossible’.
Gil only has 221 minutes in 11 appearances for Tottenham this season. His contract with Tottenham runs until 2026, so this is definitely a good time to negotiate a sale.
