Prior to the summer transfer season, Tottenham Hotspur reportedly started working to sign Mohamed Amoura, the star of Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, according to Algerian publication DZ Foot.
With 22 goals in all competitions so far this season, Amoura has been the most impressive striker in the Jupiler Pro League (Transfermarkt).
The 23-year-old’s interest in Tottenham was revealed last week when GiveMeSport revealed that the Lilywhites had been keeping an eye on the striker’s play this year.
According to the newspaper, Wolves and West Ham United could challenge Ange Postecoglou’s team for the Algerian international this summer.
Tottenham offers Mohamed Amoura a contract.
Now, DZ Foot has increased the likelihood that Spurs would prevail in the competition for Amoura, implying that the Premier League team has already begun the signing process.
The center-forward’s prospects of leaving Union SG this summer are reportedly increasing, as the Belgian team is claimed to have already accepted Tottenham’s “first concrete offer.”

The update states that Union SG would demand €20 million (£17 million) for the forward man, but it does not specify the amount of Spurs’ proposal.

Amoura has not been mentioned in any British publication as a striker Tottenham wants to sign this summer. It appears that the purpose of the Alergian’s representatives leaking these stories to the media was to generate publicity for their client.
