Rafael Leao probably didn’t like Antonio Cassano’s most recent interview with Rai, based on the clown emojis he used to cite the interview on X, the former Twitter.
On Sunday night, Cassano issued his first interview in several months, and he had nothing good to say about the Milan and Portugal forward who had scored a goal in the Rossoneri’s 3-0 victory against Lecce the previous Saturday.
“Leao believes he is a genius, and some people even concur.” Among other things, Cassano stated, “I just think of him as a good player and I have not changed my mind on that.”
In a subpar league like Serie A, he failed to score goals for five and a half months. He would have had difficulty playing for Serie A’s sixth or seventh squad years ago.
The Portuguese striker was also compared by Cassano to Phil Foden and Marcus Rashford, two of the Premier League’s top players. Foden, he said, “is a year younger and already has 21 goals and 10 assists” this season, whereas Leao had a worse season than the Manchester United star.
In the end, Cassano determined that Leao was a “good player” with “great physicality” who was only useful in Serie A.
The 24-year-old posted the video of Cassano’s interview on X, and he responded with clown emojis very quickly.
