AC Milan will make at least one signing for the midfield department in the summer, a report claims, and there is even the possibility that a couple of interesting names could arrive.
According to Calciomercato.com, there will be no revolution in midfield like there was last summer after the sale of Sandro Tonali. The trio of Tijjani Reijnders, Ismael Bennacer and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, barring any surprises, will remain the starters.
Geoffrey Moncada and Antonio D’Ottavio, under the direction of Ibrahimovic, want to add other players to the department with different characteristics compared to the starters.
The priority, is defensive midfielder, more physical than Bennacer as a screen in front of the defence, but capable of playing in a double pivot if needed. In this sense Youssouf Fofana of Monaco would represent the ideal profile and, not surprisingly, contacts between the parties have already begun and aim to lower the €30m demands that the Ligue 1 club have currently set.
The possible signing of the French midfielder, however, does not exclude the arrival of another talent that the Rossoneri have scouted on several occasions: Assan Ouédraogo of Schalke.
The idea is that the German talent could be an ideal alternative or replacement to Tommaso Pobega given that his future will have to be evaluated upon his return from injury, but he is useful for the squad lists.
