Since the new league year started on March 13, hundreds of players have changed teams, so last month’s NFL free agency was quite active. But squad development is far from done, as seasoned NFL watchers are aware.

The NFL draft, which will be held in Detroit from April 25–27 and televised on ESPN, ABC, and the ESPN app, is quickly coming. Teams can fill any roster gaps there.

We asked our NFL Nation reporters to rank the three most critical positional requirements for each of the 32 teams participating in the draft, going from greatest to smallest, as front offices finalize their draft boards in anticipation.

Then, we heard NFL draft experts Jordan Reid and Matt Miller identify a player who is not in the first round but could meet one of those criteria.

First up, the Bills, who faced salary cap concerns going into this offseason, require a fresh batch of young players.
