Ange Postecoglou has singled one of his Tottenham Hotspur players out for praise after yesterday’s win over Luton Town.
Tottenham left it late to grab three points against Luton on Saturday as Heung-min Son struck late to hand his side a 2-1 victory.
Once again, Spurs found themselves a goal behind at the interval following a disappointing opening 45 minutes.
Tahith Chong opened the score inside three minutes with a well-taken goal following some nice work from former Tottenham midfielder Andros Townsend down the right-hand side.
Son raced through on goal and struck both posts with a shot from Spurs, but Pape Matar Sarr’s follow-up effort was pushed off the line.
Timo Werner beat Issa Kabore down the left-hand side, which also offered an opportunity for him to put one away. However, the German’s attempt was dragged just inches past the post.
After Dejan Kulusevski struggled to play the right side of the field in the first half, Brendan Johnson, his substitute, was the one who finally altered the score.

It’s safe to argue that Johnson has been a star performer in recent weeks, despite early reservations about his quality of performances at Tottenham.
Before the new year, the 22-year-old was lacking confidence, and as a result, he was dropped from the starting lineup.
But he’s already scored four goals and contributed seven assists in the Premier League this season, showing why he’s a valuable member of Postecoglou’s team.
The winger appears to be settling well after joining Spurs from Nottingham Forest in the summer, having contributed to six goals in his past eight games.
