Bryan King, a former Tottenham employee, said that with this week’s surgical update, there will be a “question mark” regarding Manor Solomon.
Solomon last appeared in a Tottenham uniform on September 30, when he entered the game as a substitute in a 2-1 victory over Liverpool at home.
Solomon was originally aiming to return for Spurs’ FA Cup fourth-round 1-0 loss to Manchester City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on January 26 after having surgery for a knee injury (via BBC Sport, October 6).
But, King feels that the news that Tottenham this week revealed Solomon’s repeated minor knee surgery will cast doubt on his long-term chances in North London.
Solomon has a contract with Tottenham, and they are unable to take any action until he is healthy again, King stated in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News.
“I feel sorry for him since needing another operation after five months of recuperation doesn’t look good.
Even with today’s advancements in medicine and surgery, this will cast doubt on him.
But until he is healthy, I don’t think anyone should be talking about anything. Only then can people decide whether or not he will play for Tottenham moving ahead.
Under Ange Postecoglou, Manor Solomon will be itching to go back and contribute at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Even if it seems like a long time ago, Solomon was making a contribution while he was playing.
The 24-year-old made just two Premier League starts this season, but he contributed two assists as Spurs crushed Burnley 5-2 at Turf Moor on September 2.
In games, he was also contributing off the bench, and Ange Postecoglou found him to be a valuable addition to the team.
Solomon will be eager to return to the field as soon as possible, and the Australian will be quite frustrated by this latest development.
