Although playing in Premier League football would undoubtedly go a long way toward persuading Gray that Elland Road is the ideal location for him to grow, Leeds will be hoping that Gray’s ties to the team through his family history will help them cling onto him for as long as possible.
However, if those elite teams don’t make an offer, things will undoubtedly be simpler, therefore Liverpool severing ties with Gray can only be advantageous for the Whites in the summer.
