Tottenham close to signing £25m attacker likened to Neymar
The boy has reportedly been scouted by Arsenal in the past, and Nusa’s summer transfer to Chelsea was also mentioned.
HLN reports that Nusa appears to be headed to Tottenham, though.
Antonio Nusa to be signed by Tottenham
The source claims that Tottenham and Brugge are on the verge of finalizing an agreement that will pay upwards of £25 million.
As part of the agreement, Nusa will stay with Brugge through the rest of the season before moving to north London in the summer.
The 18-year-old Nusa has been a star in Belgium lately and has made 26 appearances for Brugge overall; he has missed the remaining games due to a back injury. He’s so well-liked that he’s already earned four caps for Norway.
The young player, who is regarded as one of the continent’s most promising prospects, has even prompted parallels to Brazilian sensation Neymar.
Nusa’s former teammate Mats Solheim observed, “I can see similarities to Neymar in Nusa’s movements and in the way he uses the ball.”
It appears that Tottenham may be acquiring some serious talent.
Nusa is a promising new Spurs player.
While the signing of Antonio Nusa is a great signal to the future, the arrivals of Radu Dragusin and Timo Werner in this current window are very much for the here and now.
If the claims are accurate, Spurs are beating out a number of elite teams to sign Nusa in this deal.
For Tottenham and Ange Postecoglou, it’s all about enhancing the team and ensuring that everything is set up for them to compete at their highest level come next season.
Despite his youth, Nusa has a lot of talent and will eventually be able to help Spurs.
Nusa is one of the most exciting additions Tottenham fans can currently be excited about, on par with the greatest players they could have signed from Europe.
