AS USUALL Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou is poised to sway yet another transfer target to join the club.
With the recent acquisition of Timo Werner on loan from Leipzig and the much awaited arrival of defender Radu Dragusin from Genoa, Postecoglou’s ability to draw players to North London has been apparent.
According to reports regarding the transactions, the Australian manager was instrumental in getting both players signed by North London.
In an interview with GiveMeSport, Italian sportswriter Fabrizio Romano said that Postecoglou had a direct chat with German international Timo Werner, which was instrumental in convincing him to sign with Tottenham.
In a similar vein, Radu Dragusin, a center defender from Romania, was transferred thanks in large part to Postecoglou.
The Australian manager persuaded Dragusin to choose Tottenham over Bayern Munich by promising him regular playing time in England, according to The Times.
According to reports, Postecoglou is now focusing on Conor Gallagher, the captain of Chelsea, with whom he is “in love.” The Time claims that the manager of Tottenham “personally wants Gallagher at Tottenham.”
It won’t be that simple to sign the “fantastic” midfield player, though. Gallagher is wanted by Chelsea for almost £50 million, and manager Mauricio Pochettino is keen to keep him because he wants to assemble an English core for the club.We will continue to be positive and hopeful despite the obstacles presented by Chelsea’s high asking price and Pochettino’s dedication to keeping Gallagher, especially after our outstanding start to the transfer window.
