Jalen Hurts led a second-half comeback as the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Kansas City Chiefs 21-17 in a rematch of last season’s Super Bowl.
Following a 17-7 lead at halftime for the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs, quarterback Hurts ran for two touchdowns to help the Eagles (9-1) tie the NFL record with a perfect 7-3 record. “That was a complete team win, a complete team effort. We found a way,” the 25-year-old Hurts said
“It was two teams going at it in a hostile environment and we showed up when it mattered the most.”
In what was just the sixth regular-season rematch of the Super Bowl from the previous season, Hurts finished with 150 throwing yards.In a thrilling game in Super Bowl 57, Kansas City overcame a 10-point deficit to capture their second NFL title in four years.

Hurts was sacked five times in Monday’s 38-35 victory at Arrowhead Stadium with the Chiefs, where the game was controlled by defense.
But he scored the game-winning touchdowns in the second half, first by sprinting 10 yards to cut the Chiefs’ lead to three points and then by being tackled from one yard out to complete the comeback.
On the final play of the game, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes came dangerously close to winning when he let go of a ball to receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling on the Eagles’ goalline.
Hurts stated, “Offensively, we didn’t play well. “We were clearly stronger in that game thanks to our defense. They performed admirably.
“We’re winning games, but we haven’t played at our highest level yet. There’s enough to be positive about. However, the final result is still far away.”
The Eagles lead the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East by two games, while the Chiefs continue to hold the lead in the AFC West division.
