The Springboks captain Siya Kolisi’s wife, Rachel Kolisi, disclosed on Wednesday, November 8, via an Instagram post that she and her children had inadvertently missed their trip back to Paris.
RACHEL KOLISI AND THE KIDS DO NOT MAKE IT TO PARIS
Rachel Kolisi, the first lady of the Springboks, disclosed that she and her two children, Nicholas (age 9) and Keziah (6), had unintentionally missed their trip back to Paris. She believed that the 12am departure was scheduled for Wednesday, November 8, rather than Tuesday, November 7. In August, before her husband, Springboks captain Siya Kolisi, joined Racing92 following the Rugby World Cup, Rachel and the children relocated to Paris.
They were able to board a flight to Dubai and then to Paris, according to Rachel’s revelation. Not only that, but her sister and brother-in-law were also on the same aircraft.
For her brother Joel Smith’s wedding this past weekend in the Western Cape, Rachel and the children traveled back to South Africa. Joel Smith is an Olympic swimmer who formerly worked as a Shoenmaker.
“You were meant to be on a flight last night,” was the message I received when I awoke this morning. I mistook today for our flight, which was scheduled for 12 a.m. We’re currently traveling to Dubai and then Paris, though. We have a seat available in our row and are traveling with my sister and brother-in-law! 😍🙏🏼,” the woman wrote.
“Always sad to leave 🇿🇦❤️,” she continued.
THE KOLISI’S ENJOY TOUR SOUTH AFRICA
Following the South African national team’s victory in the Rugby World Cup in France, Rachel posted pictures from the Springboks homecoming tour.
“What a ride 🥹🇿🇦❤️,” she wrote.
But when Rachel was on tour, she unintentionally picked up a stray rugby ball. Rachel was struck in the head by a ball thrown by a fan at the Springboks tour bus.
